"Perfumer Mixer" is divided into two stages:

The first stage is the essence extraction phase. This stage consists of several distillation rounds, where in each round you need to draw tokens from a bag. The spice tokens are used for distillation, and you can also use various effects to influence the current distillation. After each distillation round, you can choose to end the essence extraction phase and move on to the second stage—essence blending. If you can no longer move the round marker, you must end the essence extraction phase.

The second stage is the essence blending phase. In this stage, you need to continuously draw tokens from the bag until all the spaces on the final perfume board are filled.

First Stage Essence Extraction

1 Increase Temperature

The distillation dial provides reference standards for each round. It specifies:

· How many tokens need to be drawn in the current round

· The degree to which the essence is extracted

· Whether additional "mold" tokens need to be placed in the bag

First, move the round marker on the distillation dial one space to the right. Whenever you move the round marker to a space with a "mold" token, immediately place those tokens into the bag.

2 Draw Tokens from the Bag

The number below each space on the distillation dial indicates how many tokens you need to draw from the bag in the current distillation round. Before drawing, thoroughly mix the tokens in the bag, then draw the required number of tokens and place them in front of you.

3 Remove Alcohol

If any of the tokens you draw are "alcohol" tokens, remove them from the game and return them to the game box. They will not be used in this round of the game.

4 Use Token Effects

This step is optional. If you don’t want to use any effects in the current distillation round, simply return the evaluation tokens to the bag at the end of the distillation round.

The effects you use are entirely up to you: however, if you wish to use both types of effects, you must follow this order: first apply instant effects, then fragrance effects.

A. Use Instant Effects

Place the tokens you wish to use in the left side area of the distillation board. If a space displays all three evaluation colors, you may place any type of evaluation token there.

Immediately perform the corresponding effect.

B. Use Fragrance Effects

Use your evaluation tokens to execute the following fragrance effects, then place them in the corresponding colored spaces on the right side of the distillation board:

Layering

Diffusion

Longevity

To gain evaluation effects, place the tokens that have just been used for fragrance effects in the corresponding colored spaces on the right side of the distillation board. If a space shows all three colors, you may place any type of fragrance token there.

You always need 2 fragrance tokens to obtain a bottle test effect. These tokens can be placed on the distillation board across different rounds. Once both spaces next to the bottle test effect are filled, place the corresponding square token in the designated space for the bottle test. However, the bottle test effect can only be used in the essence blending phase. Once placed, the evaluation tokens remain there until the end of the game.

5 Distillation Extraction

A. Increase Extraction Level

During the distillation process, you increase the extraction level of the drawn spice tokens. To do this, raise the extraction level of all spice tokens by 1. You must remove these spice tokens from the game and return them to the game box, then replace them with essence of a higher extraction level (level +1), and immediately place them into the bag.

Special Note: Essence with an extraction level of 4, when re-distilled, will turn into foul-smelling liquid. These over-extracted liquids will result in a penalty at the end of the game.

B. Cleanup

Return any remaining unused tokens to the bag.

C. Adjust the Distillation Dial

6 Decision

Your first distillation round is over. Now decide whether to continue distilling or move directly to the essence blending phase. If you choose to continue distilling, repeat the above steps. The values on the distillation dial can help you make this decision, as they indicate the overall extraction level of the essence in the bag.

Second Stage Essence Blending

You always draw tokens from the bag one by one, and after each draw, immediately decide whether to place the token into the perfume bottle or into the paper strainer. If there are no remaining spaces in the paper strainer, you must place the token into the perfume bottle. Continue drawing tokens until all spaces on the perfume bottle board are filled or the bag is empty. When you draw an "alcohol" token, remove it from the game immediately as usual.

· Fragrance Score

Perfectly Having All Ingredients: If you have all the spices listed in the ingredient list, you earn 20 points.

Having More Than Half of the Ingredients: If you have more than half of the spices listed in the ingredient list, you earn 10 points.

Fewer Than Half of the Ingredients: For each spice less than half of the total listed, you lose 2 points. This continues until all points are deducted, with no negative scores.

· Layering Score

The concentration of the top notes, middle notes, and base notes should progressively increase with clear differentiation. Achieving a perfect gradient earns 10 points.

If the top notes and middle notes, or the middle notes and base notes, show a progressive increase, you can earn 6 points.

· Longevity Score

Each 3rd-degree and 4th-degree essence earns 4 points.

· Diffusion Score

Essences with the same concentration within the same note earn additional points:

2 essences with the same concentration: +2 points

3 essences with the same concentration: +5 points

More than 3 essences with the same concentration: +7 points

· Penalties

- 10 points each
